Obituary of George Stahl

George W. Stahl, Sr. longtime resident of Southampton, was born on January 20, 1939, left this earth on January 20, 2014 surrounded by his family. His loving wife Lynda provided 15 years of care following initial experience with throat cancer. George is survived by his wife of 23 years Lynda Stahl, son George Stahl Jr., daughter and son in law Virginia & Gary Wilkinson, son Raymond Stahl, daughter and son in law Shelly & Joseph Stockmal, daughter and son in law Holly & Charles Bunnell, son and daughter in law Joseph and Tammy McKinney, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

George loved spending time with his family in Ocean City NJ, fishing, racing behind the wheel as a teenager, snow plowing, construction, watching Nascar, and his dogs. He was part owner of the family business Stahl & Davis Inc., a General Construction Company. He was responsible for the field activities to build Churches, Banks, Custom Homes, Post Offices, and a part of Sesame Place. George was a proud Navy veteran, a member of the Southampton Lions Club, and a member of the Southampton-Radiant Star Lodge No. 806.

He will always be remembered for his humor by his family.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday January 23 from 10:30 am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban chapel 333 County Line Rd Feasterville, where funeral services will be held at 11:30am. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1626 Locust St. Philadelphia, PA 19103
