Obituary of George Walker
George G. Walker passed away Friday, April 25, 2014. He was 80 years old and lived in Bucks County for the last 48 years. George was the beloved husband of Nancy (James) to whom he had been married for 57 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from Frankford High in 1951 and served in the US Navy from 1954-1956. He was employed by Bell Telephone of Pennsylvanis in 1956 and retired in 1988 when he started his handy-man business. He enjoyed the beach in Ocean City and the casinos in Atlantic City, travelling the world on cruises with his friends and spending time at his grandchildren's various sporting events. George was a member of Houseman Lodge F&AM, Ben Franklin Consistory, LuLu Shriners and was past President of the Philadelphia and Lenape Shriners Clubs.
He was pre-deceased in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Jane and his parents, George G. Walker, Sr. and Ethel Jane (Rebhorn). He is survived by his loving children Ken Walker (Anne) and Carolyn Coupe (Chet). His loss is deeply felt by his grandchildren, Ryan, Trevor, Kevin, Jenna, Nicholas and Christina.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 3rd at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 where a Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad, St., Philadelphia, PA 19140 or Scottsville United Methodist Church, 2400 Brownsville Road, Langhorne, PA 19053 would be appreciated.
