Obituary of Gil Guglielmi

Dr. Gildo Guglielmi, DMA, 96, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2015.

Gil is survived by his wife Emily, brothers Lester (Grace), David (Peggy), stepson David Bratspis (Susan), and grandchildren Katharine and Nicholas, and many nieces and nephews.

Gil was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Army band. He played in the Big Bands during its hey day. He was a music educator at Centennial School District for over forty years. He was conductor of the Warminster Symphony for thirteen years and was co-founder and musical director/conductor of the Southampton Community Band. He established musical scholarships to send students to study in Siena, Italy.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 7th at Kirk &Nice Funeral Home, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA, 19053. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Southampton Community Band, PO Box 415, Southampton, PA 18966-0415.
