Gordon E. Sickel, age 91 passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in his home.

Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, Mr. Sickel was a longtime resident of Trevose and Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lower Moreland High School in 1950. He was a proud US Army Veteran during the Korean War. When he returned from the service, he became a telephone technician for Bell Telephone and AT&T where he worked several years at the Johnsville Naval Air Station in Warminster, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Sickel was a FreeMason, Houseman Lodge No. 211. Gordon was a member of the Trevose Methodist Church.

Shortly after his service in the military, he met the love of his life, Elaine Taylor. They married October 6, 1956 and started their wonderful life together. Mr. Sickel loved to go on cruises with his family and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

Son of the late Edward H. and Margaret (Oliver) Sickel; Father of the late Keith Gordon Sickel; Brother of the late Donald O. Sickel. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elaine (Taylor) Sickel; children, Bruce and Nancy Sickel, and Rodney and Marilyn Sickel; grandchildren, Tyler Sickel, Courtney Sickel, Nichole Sickel, Alex Sickel, Lauren Sickel; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins that will share fond memories.

Mr. Sickel will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Doylestown Hospital and Hospice for all the care and compassion that they provided.
