Harold Robert (Bob) Luebbe passed away peacefully Wednesday December 9, 2020. He was 96. Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but spent most of his childhood in Johnstown, PA. He had lived in Warminster for the past 57 years. Bob was happily married to Ruth for 66 years. She passed away in June 2018. Bob is survived by his children, Frank and Carey Luebbe of Rochester, N.Y., Mary and Dale Souder of Telford, Bruce and Nancy Luebbe of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Carol and David Hess of Mechanicville, VA.; along with seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bob Butler of Baltimore.
Bob's interests usually related to community service. He served as a member of the Centennial School Board for 9 years, later serving as their Treasurer. He was also active on the Warminster Planning Commission, The Wilson Senior Center, and various AARP organizations.
In addition to spending time with his family, Bob enjoyed working on the computer, researching his family history, and traveling with Ruth. They traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and internationally, visiting all 50 states, and 30 different countries. Bob and Ruth owned a townhouse in Myrtle Beach and a mountain cabin in the Poconos. They were pioneers at Ann's Choice and thoroughly enjoyed all the activities there. Bob was active in many leadership roles at Ann's Choice and especially enjoyed his role as chairperson of the Trips and Travel Club and Entertainment Committee for many years. Bob's kindness and positive attitude, will be missed by all of those that he touched.
A memorial service for Bob will be held privately at Sunset Memorial Park. Services are under the directions of Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel. www.kirkandnicesuburban.com
