Obituary

Hazel D. Cocozza was born on April 25, 1930, in Philadelphia PA, to Hayes and Isabel Duncan. She had one sister, Isabel Parker, and one brother-in-law, James Parker.

Hazel went to Woodrow Wilson Elementary School and Frankford High School. On January 11th, 1951, she married the love of her life, William Cocozza. Together they adopted three children, Gina, Maria, and Bill.

In addition to being the proud mother, she was also a dental hygienist, ceramics teacher, manager and operator of Parker's Ceramics, day care supervisor, and a lifelong piano teacher. After retirement, she enjoyed caring for the birds, attending to her plants, painting ceramics, and playing piano.

Nothing was more important to Hazel than her family.  She is forever loved by her children Gina, Maria, and Bill, and their spouses Mike, Ted and Diane; her grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Zachary, Adam, Katie, and Billy, and their spouses Joanna, Adrienne, Cassie, and fiancé Rachel; and great grandchildren James, Julia, Carter, and Natalie. She is loved by her nieces and nephews  Duncan and  Marilyn, Bob and Sheri, Don and Sally, Linda, Pat and Dennis, Bernie and Larry, Joe and Dodie, Steven, Margery and Jim, and Marty and Patti. She also leaves behind many beloved grand nieces and nephews, other family members, and former co-workers, and friends.

A memorial service for Hazel will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
