Helen Marie (Rodgers) Guinter, age 98, passed away April 11th, 2026, at her home in Southampton. She was born on February 2nd, 1928, to the late Anthony and Constance Rodgers.
Helen was raised with her 8 siblings in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia. She went to Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic grade school and Little Flower Catholic High School. She graduated in 1945.
Helen met her husband, John, soon after graduation. They were married for 55 years upon his death in 2001. Creating a family that continues to grow in great numbers.
After raising her 12 children, Helen went onto work for the Navy Depot (Naval Air Technical Service Facility), for 14 years. She developed many friendships and went on many bus trips with them. Traveling became a passion and after retirement continued onto many more trips with family and friends.
Helen loved being around her family and was always up for dancing at all of our family functions, even with her cane or walker. She also loved to pray for everyone. She had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. Anytime someone had sad news they would call mom and ask her to pray. She said the Rosary every morning and every night. She loved her faith.
Helen is survived by 10 of her 12 children, Helen Fullerton (Joe), Christine McNamara (John), Joanne Henderson (Fran), Lawrence (Connie), Therese Hudson (Jesse), Timothy (Jacki), Constance Marchesani (Lou), Jeanmarie Briscella (George), Joseph (Michelle), Diane Borko (George). Also survived by 42 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband John, her 2 sons John Jr. and baby Donald. Also her parents and 8 siblings and many other family members.
