Obituary of Helen Lawrence

HELEN RAE LAWRENCE

1933-2015

Helen Rae Lawrence passed away on February 14, 2015 in Rancho Mirage, CA after battling Lung Cancer for a year. She was 81, born June 5, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. The daughter of Charles and Helen (McClary) Black, she and her sister Valerie Ingles were raised by their Aunt Mamie (Mary Kelly). She entered the work force performing clerical duties to secretary and then as a bookkeeper. During her life she lived in Pennsylvania, Washington DC, New Jersey, Ohio and California. During the past eight years she lived six months a year in LaQuinta, CA and six months in West Berlin, NJ. In her words, I have lived a wonderful life, thanks to my loved ones and many friends. Her hobbies were bowling, bridge, golf and most of all traveling. She has traveled around the world and has taken over 20 cruises.



She will be missed by her loving family, husband Robert Lawrence, daughter Cathy McCarty, grandchildren Steven McCarty and wife Nichol, Paul McCarty and Allison DiMattio her husband Kevin plus four great grandchildren Steven, Keven, Kayla and Kaitlin.

There will be a visitation between 10:00 and 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27th followed by a service at 11:00 AM at the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home at Sunset Memorial Park , 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 (215) 354-0085. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Helen's memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
