Obituary of Helen Norlie
Helen R. Norlie (nee Morgenstern), 76, a 13 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Feasterville, PA died on November 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 28, 1934 to the late George and Kathryn Morgenstern.
Mrs. Norlie graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.
She was a dietitian for the Philadelphia School System, and a teacher for the Pennsylvania Extension Services in Bucks County, but primarily she enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family.
She was a girl scout leader and Service Unit Director in the Freedom Valley Council, a member of the NARFE Glen Burnie Chapter, the Pascal Sr. Center, and the Red Hat Society where she was Queen Mum.
Her hobbies included genealogy, cooking and baking
Mrs. Norlie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald G. Norlie, her daughter Susan Tomlinson and her husband Terence of Glen Burnie, MD, and her grandchildren Mitchell and Kathryn Tomlinson of Pasadena.
Friends may call on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday at the Kirk and Nice Funeral Home in Pennsylvania.
Interment Hillside Cemetery.
