Obituary of Henry Apice

Henry A.J. Apice , age 92, of Southampton and formerly of Philadelphia,PA, passed away on January 13, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie ( nee Bartholomew ), loving father of Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Chropka (Fred) ,and David H. Apice (Beverly Reynolds); devoted grandfather of 5; great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 2. Henry was one of 17 children and is survived by his siblings, Gloria, Ida, Frances, James, Thomas and Fred. Henry enlisted in The National Guard in 1938. He was a life member of the Order of Devil Dogs, life member of the VFW post 6493,l life member of The Richboro Marine Corps League, a Guardian of the Washington Crossing National Cemetery and a survivor of Iwo Jima . Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday evening, January 20, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053 . A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11 am. Interment with full Military Honors will follow 1 pm at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
