Obituary of Hilda Daily

Hilda J. Daily (nee Huber) passed away on May 7, 2010 at the age of 91. Daughter of Francis X. and Florence (nee Miller) Huber she was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School. Hilda began her career at S.S. Fretz, Jr., Inc on February 1, 1937 in an entry level position, and retired 62 years later on February 1, 1999. She took accounting courses at Temple, and, over the years, achieved the status of Executive VP and Treasurer. She was a major stockholder in The Fretz Corporation. Hilda was happily married for 64 years from February 15, 1941 until the death of her husband on February 28, 2005. Devoted to each other, Joe and Hilda travelled extensively around the world -- Europe, South Africa, China, Australia, Malaysia - to name a few. They were avid golfers and members of the Sandy Run Country Club for over 40 years. Hilda had been an honorary member for the last couple of years. She is survived by her brother-in-law and wife -- Tom and Anne Daily, and their six children. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Hilda's memory be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
