He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Doris, daughters Sherry Jackson and Debbie Bruner, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his son James R. Bruner.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA. A retired electrician who worked for the City of Philadelphia, Jim enjoyed his Harley motorcycle and his many friends in his motorcycle club. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Jim had many talents, he was often called upon by family and friends for advice on how to fix cars, help with motorcycle repairs, and most anything around the house.
