James R. Belvin of Buckingham passed away suddenly on January 12, 2018 at the age of 71 surrounded by his wifw and children.  James, better known as Jim, was born in the city of Philadelphia and was the son of the late James L. Belvin and Lillian ( Anthony ) Belvin. Jim was preceded in death by his sister Caroline Clark. Jim was the devoted husband of 47 years to his wife Loretta and is survived by his three children : James L. Belvin and his wife Lauren, Jennifer Kovacs and her husband Michael and Donna Carroll and her husband T.J. Jim is also survived by his four grandchildren Kaitlin, Kendall, Brianna and Jimmy. Jim graduated from Frankford High School in 1966 before serving in the United States Army. Upon returning from serving his country, Jim worked for the Philadelphia Electric Company for the next 34 years as a lineman and retired in 2002. Jim loved his 1990 Chevrolet  Camaro RS which he spent many hours driving, and cleaning. Jim also enjoyed spending his free time working in his yard and taking care of the house. Funeral services will be held on January 19, 2018, 10:30 am, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd. , Feasterville, PA 19053 ( 215 - 354 - 0085 ). There will be a viewing from 9 am to 10:30 am . Immediately following  the service, an interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park ( same address as funeral home ) .
