James J. Kelly, Jr, 79 ,of Feasterville, PA, passed away Thursday, June 15,2017 at his home surrounded by his family. James was born November 25, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to James and Catherine Kelly. He graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in 1956. On January 3, 1959, he married Phyllis M. Hill. James served 2 years active duty the U.S. Navy as an air craft electrician, and served 31 years in the Navy reserves. He was employed as a pipe organ installer and tuner from the age of 17. He started his own pipe organ service company in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area, in his early thirties. He operated his business right up to December of 2016, when he finally hung up his organ tuning tools. He loved his pets ( horses, dogs, cats, deer, turkey, fox, etc.) and was an avid hunter and gun enthusiast. He loved his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. James is survived by his wife, Phyllis M. ( Hill ) Kelly of 57 years, his three daughters, Theresa M. Lederman, Kathleen M. Stoltz and her husband, Stephen L. Stoltz, Michelle M. Kelly, and his son James J. Kelly, III ; nine grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren , and his sisters, Lois Krause and Romaine Roberts. James was preceded in death by his son,Gerald ( Gerry ) Allen Kelly. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 26, 2017, 10 am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053 ( 215 - 354 - 0085 ), where Jim's life will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Berean Bible Church, 3330 Byberry Rd. Philadelphia,Pa 19154 .
