James F.G. Niedrist, 92, of Philadelphia, passed away on October 8, 2022. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Bert Niedrist and Evelyn Davis. Jim was the loving husband of his late wife, Norma Niedrist of 69 years. Brother to the late Evelyn Niedrist and Bert Niedrist. He and Norma raised 5 sons. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love of friends and family, and Penn State Football. He proudly served his country as a US Marine.

Jim is survived by his 5 sons: James (Carol), Jack (his late wife Dottie), Kirt (Barb), Robbie (Kim), Dean (Lisa); he is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to call from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at St. Andrew's in the Field Episcopal Church 500 Somerton Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19116. A funeral service will begin at church at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
