Obituary of James Reingruber
James T. "Tom" Reingruber, age 69 of Southampton, passed away Thursday December 3, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. He was the beloved husband of Judith Lynn (Dalton) Reingruber with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.
Born in Falls Church, Virginia, he was the son of the late James and Linnie (Foster) Reingruber.
Tom grew up in McLean, Virginia with his four siblings: Frank, Jean, Mary Jane and John.
After Tom graduated from High School, he attended college for a short period of time, then began working at the Government Printing office at the age of 19.
In 1967, Tom married his first wife Mary and together they had three children: Robert, Janet and Diana.
In 1984, Tom transferred to Warrington, PA to work as manager of the GOP in Philadelphia and later in Southampton.
In 1988, he married Judy and became "Dad" to her three children: Donna, Amy and Bobby.
Together, they moved to Southampton with 5 of the 6 kids (Robert enlisted in the military). Through the years they owned several dogs that were near and dear to his heart: Daisy, Happy Red, Joy, Marty and currently Gracie.
Around 1996 Tom felt the need to complete his college education that began years prior and he graduated from Holy Family University with a Bachelor's Degree in History.
In 2000, Tom retired from the GOP where he had worked and gained the respect of his fellow colleagues for 35 years.
During his retirement, Tom cherished his time with his beloved wife Judy and his nine grandchildren. He enjoyed reading books, gardening, walking the dogs and going to church.
In addition to his wife Judy, Tom leaves his children: Robert Reingruber, Donna Montross, Janet Hirochek and her husband Lewis, Amy Hewitt, Robert Montross and Diana Reingruber. His grandchildren: James and Katherine Reingruber, Gabrielle, Ashley and Mikayla Hewitt, Sara and Michael Catelli, Taylor and Brody Hirochek. 1 brother: John Reingruber.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Tom's visitation on Friday December 11, 2015 from 10 AM and to his Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Tom's memory to the above named church would be appreciated.
