James A. Walls died Monday August 8, 2016, aged 80 years. Born January 3, 1936 in Oxford, PA, the son of Hattie Mae and Ralph Everett Walls. He was the loving husband of the late Jacqueline Ruth Walls. He is the loving father of Steven Walls, Stephanie Jones and Charlotte Walls. James is also survived by one grand daughter Dominique Jones, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
James graduated from Oxford High School in 1953 and earned his bachelors degree from Lincoln University in 1958. He served in the Army from 1959 through 1961. After the army, James moves to Philadelphia where he started his 30+ year career at the Defense Industrial Supply Center. This is where he met Jacqueline and started their 47 year marriage.
James was an avid fan of Classical and Jazz music. His other passion was health and bodybuilding. He won several competitions throughout the 70s
With his last major win in 1982 where he was named "Mr. Philadelphia Over 35", at the age of 47. He retired from "DISC" in 1994. In his retirement he enjoyed trying new restaurants and traveling.
