Obituary

James C. Ward, Jr. of Southampton, passed away May 18, 2017 at his home. He was 60. A wonderful husband and friend to many, Jim was a life member and past Chief of the Cheltenham Hook and Ladder Company and worked as Senior Electrical Estimator for the L.F. Driscoll Co. and was responsible for the electrical work at the Comcast Center and new tower at HUP, among many other projects. Among his many interests, he was an avid saltwater fisherman spending 26 years of summer weekends on his boat. A dedicated motorcycle rider, he was a member of HOG with his best friend Ken Hellendall. Jim also was an ardent theatre goer and supporter of the Walnut Street Theatre children's educational program. He is survived by his beloved wife Stephanie (nee Hybiske), a sister Jaye Spencer and brother David Ward (Barbara), also by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening, May 23 from 6:30 pm at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Rd Feasterville (215-354-0085) where a memorial service will be held at 8pm. Interment private.
