Janice Rainey Spooner, 79, of Maple Glen, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 6, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1945 to Bettie and S. Gordon Rainey in Abington, Pennsylvania. Janice lived a life filled with love, devoted to family and community service. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Spooner, daughters Michele Spooner (Noah Bennett) and Amy Campbell (Justin), and grandsons Beckett and Grady Campbell.

Janice was a proud graduate of Abington Senior High School Class of 1963. In 1971, Janice married Jim and found immense joy and purpose in her family. Her home was always a place of warmth and laughter. Janice was an avid and knowledgeable Philadelphia sports fan, always cheering on the Phils, Eagles, and Sixers.

A dedicated volunteer, Janice devoted 30 years of service to the Crestmont Clippers Swim Team and Dolphins Community Aquatics Association (Abington Dolphins) as well as PTO responsibilities at Willow Hill Elementary School. She never missed a swim meet, athletic competition, or school event. Janice's loyal and generous spirit is evident through her actions and the relationships she cultivated throughout her life.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation followed by a brief eulogy to remember and celebrate Janice's life at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel in Huntingdon Valley on Monday, February 17th at 10AM.

Burial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Janice's honor to Kisses for Kyle, a charity that held a special place in her heart.
