Jean A Hoffman, (nee Mutschler), was born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 13, 1943. She was raised and lived in Elkins Park, PA, where she raised her own family. She passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 82 at Abington Hospital Jefferson. She was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Raymond A Hoffman, Sr. She was also the beloved mother of Jean A Schwartz (David), Raymond A Hoffman, Jr, and Robin L Hoffman – Crouse (Dave). Grammy of Karli, Andrew and Kaly. GiGi of Damian and Daisie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A Hoffman, Sr, her father, Nelson L Mutschler, her mother, Virginia Mutschler Davis (nee Mannon), her brother, Walter Mutschler and her grandson, Nicholas Crouse.

Jean was a member of Elkins Park Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder. She was also a member of the church’s Keenagers Christian group. She was employed by Cheltenham School District prior to returning to school to become an LPN. She worked at Abington Memorial Hospital as a nurse until she retired after 27 years.

Jean enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband. Spending time at her trailer at the shore. Socializing with her colleagues from 3-W West and friends from Keenagers. By far, her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We are holding a Celebration of Life for Jean. Relatives and friends are invited to call at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Followed by a funeral service at 11 AM, at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, located at 333 W. County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
