Jean Greiner Hunter, age 101, of Media, PA, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 4, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and William Greiner and grew up in Delaware County PA. She was married to her late, loving husband and best friend, Eugene for 69 years. Jean loved to travel with him on business trips through the south when they lived in Charlotte, NC and to numerous golf resorts in Florida in the winter, where they played golf together.

She was the family historian and had a remarkable memory of family members and friends and their activities in life. Jean had a positive attitude about life, she was concerned for others' wellbeing, and had a strong faith in God.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Eugene; sisters Elsie Butler and Mary Fleming. Jean is survived by nieces Patricia Fleming Stockley; Gail Butler White (William); Donna Fleming Bonnett (Donald); nephews Theodore Butler Jr (Fern); Bryan Fleming (Maryann) and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Jean will live in the hearts of her family, friends and thoughtful and compassionate caregivers, Charlene Merk, Almetta Herndon, and Lorraine Stills. She was an inspiration to everyone.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11:00am to 12pm on Thursday, July14,2022 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12pm. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
