Jean D. (Lorenz) Henderson, age 74 of Penndel, PA, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne.

Born on September 24, 1946 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Strauser) Lorenz.

She had danced on American Bandstand and enjoyed bowling and roller skating in her younger years.

Jean was a Lab Assistant for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals from 1968 to 1998.

Upon her retirement, she traveled frequently between the Tampa, FL and Bucks County, PA areas to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Jean enjoyed traveling with friends and family every chance she could get; from an Alaskan cruise to many of the Caribbean islands, including a Disney cruise.

Jean never met a slot machine she didn't like. So much so, when her son Joe was working on the Parx casino construction site, he would catch her on more than one occasion "sneaking in"!

Jean's favorite thing to do was buying scratch tickets for herself and the grandkids. She was so excited to see them win.

She is loved and the memories her family and friends have of her will be treasured forever.

Jean is survived by her daughter; Jeannie, wife of George Brennan of Apollo Beach, FL, and her son; Joe Hathaway, husband of Caryn of Feasterville, PA. Grandchildren; Jessica Brennan of Riverview, FL, Alisan, J.J., and Tyler Hathaway of Feasterville, PA. Great grandmother of Adriana Perez of Riverview, FL. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Donna Lee Brennan and her brothers, Frank and Jimmy Lorenz.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Lee Cobleigh officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

A viewing will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
