It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Edna Davis, who parted this life peacefully on October 5th, 2025, at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by loved ones. She was 75 years old. Born in Philadelphia to William and Edna Hinger. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of many years Irvin Davis, and her brother Carl (Hinger). Joan is survived by her devoted partner and soulmate of 11 years, Nick Stampone Jr., who was by her side through every joy and challenge. She is also survived by her cousin Philip Stark (Janice), her stepson Matthew Davis, and three step-grandchildren, Lauren Hurley, Andy Hurley, and Evan Hurley and many other loving cousins and family members. As well as extended Stampone family who loved her dearly.

Joan grew up in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia and graduated from Northeast High School. She later attended West Chester University, earning her degree in accounting, and went on to work for the School District of Philadelphia, retiring in 2000, for the past 11 years, Joan shared her life with Nicholas, her partner and confidant. Their love story was one of true devotion – a testament to finding joy and companionship later in life.

Joan's funeral services will be held at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel located at 333 West County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. The public is welcome at 12:00pm for her viewing, Funeral Services to follow at 1:00pm October 14th, 2025. Her burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
