Edgar, Johanna (Joan)
Johanna M. "Joan" Edgar, age 88, passed away on June 9, 2024. She was born to Frank and Josephine (Stefanski) Myrick on November 8, 1935. She was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and formerly of Feasterville. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Edgar. Devoted mother of Robert (Meg) and William (Michelle). Loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Beloved sister to Dorothy Guidry. Before retiring, Joan worked as a secretary for a law firm. She enjoyed cooking and keeping her house tidy. You could find her at the hair salon every Friday. She loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing those special moments. Independence was something she cherished. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her visitation at St Christopher's Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Philadelphia on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 9:30 AM and to participate in her funeral mass at 10:30 AM.
