Beloved husband of Eileen B. Fowler, nee Moreschi, nee Bogle, loving father of John F. Fowler,III, Brian A. Fowler ( Carol ), Richard D. Fowler ( Amy ) and cherished stepfather of Michael A. Moreschi. Caring grandfather of Megan Elizabeth, Emma Rose, Emily Rose and Christopher John. He was predeceased by his parents, John F. Fowler and Florence Barford Fowler. He is survived by his brother, Robert ( Sue ). John was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Starting at an early age, he worked with his grandfather ( Fergus Fowler ) and father ( John F. Fowler ) in the family's moving and storage business, and retail furniture store. In 1967 he joined the Philadelphia Police Department and served the community for 20 years. After retiring from the Police Department, John started his own trucking company as an independent owner - operator who hauled for several transportation companies . John enjoyed the independence and challenge of operating his own Mack trucks .In later years John worked for the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, and for the Bucks County Family Court. John loved to spend time in the Endless Mountains of Suillivan County where he had built a home. He was a good conversationalist who entertained all with his keen sense of humor. John will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 29, 2018, 10 am to 12 pm ,at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053 ( 215 - 354 - 0085 ), where John's Funeral service will begin at 12 pm.( There will be a Masonic service prior to the main funeral service). Interment to follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike , Ambler ( Horsham Township ), PA 19002.
