Obituary of John Lehr
JOHN M. LEHR, age 88 of Roanoke, VA, and formerly of Havertown, PA passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2008. John was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific combat theater for four years with the 13th Army Air Force. In civilian life, he worked for Milprint Inc. of Downingtown, PA. Upon retirement, he served as a crossing guard for the Haverford Township School District. He moved to Friendship Manor Retirement Home in Roanoke, VA in 2003 to be close to family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irma Kissinger Lehr.
Surviving are his son, John Lher and wife Marilyn of Germantown, MD, daughter Susan C. Clark and husband Charlie of Hardy, VA; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
