Obituary of John Mason

Mr. John L. Mason, Jr. "Mickey" passed away on December 22, 2011 at Holy Redeemer Hospice. He. was 78 years old. Born September 12, 1933 he was the son of the late John L. Sr. and Dorothy Mason. A former Cheltenham Township police officer of over 20 years, John's main love has always been antiquing. He was the owner of the Jenkintown Antique Guild which was known for not just being a store but a place to gather socially as well. He was a proud Korean War Veteran and huge history buff, and could be counted on for his vast wealth of knowledge. He is survived by his wife Judy (nee Cronenweth), and his sons John L. III, Joseph S., Christopher M. (Lori), and Andrew J. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christopher, Jr., Nicholas and Mia. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday December 27th 7-9 p.m. and to his funeral service Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Rd. Feasterville. Int. Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of the donor's choice
