Joseph Etris,Jr., age 90, of Southampton(formerly of Philadelphia) passed away on March 27, 2015.

Beloved husband of the late Millicent Norris Etris, loving father of Robert Etris ( Miriam ), Stephen Etris ( Marie ) and Suzanne Torres ( Jay ), devoted granddad of Jill Etris, Jared Torres, Aimee Torres, Robert Etris, Jr. and Brian Etris.

Joe was a graduate of Germantown Academy and the University of Pennsylvania.He was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S.Navy, and saw action in the Pacific during WW II, serving as a Gunnery Officer on the U.S.S. North Carolina. Joe was the manager/owner of Wister Heberton Lumber Company and became a stockbroker in Philadelphia and continued to work in this profession until 1985. Joe was a member of the Sons of the Revolution, the Lions Clubs International and the Union League. He enjoyed flower gardening, growing cactus and summers spent at Long Beach Island with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, April 3, 2015 , 11 am to 12 pm at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053.Joe's funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment to follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler , Pa. In lieu of flowers donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Lions Clubs International, Foundation, Department 4547, Carol Stream , Ill.
