Josephine Widener (Schwab) of Philadelphia, passed away on January 25, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Francis A. Widener, Sr. She is survived by her son Frank (Cathy), granddaughter Kaitlyn (Brandon) Massaro, and great grandsons Nicholas Anthony and Luca Francis. She is also survived by sisters Helga and Annelies, brother Charlie, and was preceded in death by brothers Hennis and Alois, all of Germany where Josephine was born. Josephine and her husband met in Germany during WWII where he was stationed and served in the US Army. They married in Germany and emigrated to the United States following the war. While "Jo" was busy raising their son, she had a wide circle of friends with whom she played pinochle, spent summers at Somerton pool and hosted an open house on Christmas Eve every year. In recent years, she enjoyed the time spent at the casino winning.

Friends and family are invited on Friday, February 5, 2021 to a visitation from 11:00-11:30am and a memorial service at 11:30am, both at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
