Obituary of Karen McHugh

Karen E. McHugh of Southampton, PA passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2014 in her family home. She was 57. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Raymond F. McHugh for 32 years. She was also a loving mother to two sons, Matthew (Lauren) and Shawn (Megan Kuntz) as well as three grand-dogs, Truman, Ralphie, and Sam.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Karen was the oldest daughter of the late George R. Hutt, III and the late Helen Janet Hutt (Mackerell). She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Cieri (Edward) of Newtown, Lois Dudek (Brian) of Warrington, one brother, Kevin Hutt (Paula) of Easton, an aunt, Sister Mary Denise, I.H.M. of Immaculata, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Karen was a 1975 graduate of Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls. She enjoyed family vacations to the various beaches in Long Beach Island, NJ, Wrightsville Beach, NC, and Ponce's Inlet, FL. Karen placed great importance on the company of family and friends and was known for hosting Thanksgiving Dinner and the annual Father's Day BBQ which she took great pride in. She devoted her life to caring for her family and spoiling her grand-dogs but always found the time for her daily Starbucks run.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing and Celebration of her Life from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Tuesday October 7 and again on Wednesday October 8 from 10:00 A.M. with a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Interment will follow at the Chapel of Peace in Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.
