Kathy, 79, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 3, 2023.  She was born to parents Joseph and Katherine Ryan in October of 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa., and graduated from Roxborough High School.  She was married to Thomas M. Grier and lived together in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. for 45 years before she relocated to Warrington, Pa. and finally Lansdale, Pa.  Kathy is survived by four children, Brian and Jennifer (Grier) Wheeler of Bordentown, NJ; Bethanne Grier of Jenkintown, Pa; John and Jaclyn Grier of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and Steve and Katie (Grier) Arenaz of Abington, Pa. and four grandchildren. Kathy was predeceased by her husband in 2012.

Kathy dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and was the foundation to her loving family.  She was an excellent gift giver of sentimental things, supported her family and friends in good times and in difficult times, and never missed special events.  Her hobbies included crafting, volunteering, baking, sewing, playing games and caring for her African Violets.  She cherished the company of her close friends.

Kathy was a member of: Rebekah Circle, Wagoneers, and Wrapping Presence, as well as, a member of the Dock Woods Community and Christ United Methodist Church in Lansdale.  She enjoyed taking trips and going to events with her new found friends.  She loved to travel to new places and vacation at the Jersey Shore with friends and family.

Kathy was full of warmth and kindness that she willingly shared with all those she met.  Her reach went farther than she could ever imagine.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA from 10-11am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.
