Kathleen A. (Lugowski) Schade, age 74, wife of Henry (Hank) Schade of Huntingdon Valley, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Meadowbrook. Born on February 23, 1948 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Marguerite (Evangelista) Lugowski. Kathleen's brother Chester predeceased her.

Kathleen is survived by her son Thomas, his wife Martha, and grandchildren Eleanor and Garrett as well as her son Robert, his wife Joanna, and grandchildren Blaise and Cody.

Kathleen was a graduate of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic High School, class of 1965. She received her nursing degree at Philadelphia's Thomas Jefferson University Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. Kathleen then obtained her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) professional license from Pennsylvania Hospital in 1974. Kathleen's professional career continued 39 years at various hospitals. She retired in 2013 from Penn Presbyterian Hospital.

Kathleen's life was filled with her love for her family especially her grandchildren, her many friends, gardening, painting, reading, and spending time at her vacation home in the seashore town of Avalon NJ where she and Hank met before marrying in 1987.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, May 23, 2022, 12:00 noon, Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel preceded by a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Avalon Garden Club c/o AGC Donations, PO Box 43, Avalon NJ 08202. This non-profit organization maintains Avalon's gardens and other outdoor beautification projects.
