Kenneth Lawrence Jenkins

November 3, 1927 – January 3, 2019

Kenneth Jenkins, of Doylestown, PA formerly of Mascotte, FL., was called home to the Lord, on Thursday January 3, 2019 at the age of 91 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dolores (Colonna); his children, Joellen (Stan) Weber, Kenneth J( Joanne ), Lisa (Gary James ) Schlechter; and Grandchildren, Jaime and Jason Weber,  Stephanie, Andrew, Jonathan and Patrick Jenkins.

At the age of 17 years old, Ken enlisted in the Navy and served during WWII on the US Ranger CV-4 Air Carrier.  In 1946 he served on the USS Philippine Sea CV-47 which escorted Admiral Byrd on his Antarctic expedition operation "Highjump".

Ken worked as a meat manager for Acme Markets for 36 years before retiring to pursue his dream of entrepreneurship.

Ken was also known for his famous Roast Beef Sandwiches served at "Ye Old Ale House" in the Northeast.

He was a member of Covenant Church in Doylestown, PA.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 10AM on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel , 333 County Line Road Feasterville, PA  19053 (215 - 354 - 0085).

Memorial service at 11:30AM. Burial will be immediately following service at Sunset Memorial Park. Luncheon will follow thereafter.
