Obituary of Lee Allen
Lee Allen, 87, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Livermore, CA from a prolonged illness. Lee was born in South Carolina, lived 20 plus years in the Philadelphia (Levittown), PA area and then 35 years in Tucson, AX. He spent the remaining years of his life in Reno, NV and Livermore, CA, nearer his daughter. He was married to Marie Lanzidelle, who predeceased him in 1973 and then 16 years to Eleanor Christianson, who passed in 2004. Lee worked as an electrician, having learned his trade in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Later, he worked for Levitt and Sons Builders in PA and NJ for 12 years and for Stevick Electric in Tucson Arizona for 25 years. His passion was gambling, but not to excess; as he told one of his doctors in Reno, "I'm a gambling man". It was really more of a hobby. He loved animals (especially cats) and gardening in his younger years. He is survived by his daughter Donna, of Livermore, CA; his daughter and her husband, Carol and Husam Rasoul of Plain City, OH; grandson Jason Rasoul of Slinger, WI and Donna's long time friend Musa Atiffi. Also, his stepchildren, Alan (Karen) Christianson of Carson City, NV; Cynthia (Chester) Spang of FL and Timothy (Patricia) of Kenosha, WI.
Lee will be buried at sea with honors by the U.S. Navy out of San Diego, California. Relatives and friends may gather after 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 (on the grounds of Sunset Memorial Park), where a Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM.
