Obituary of Leonard Zapf

Leonard, age 90 of Huntingdon Valley, on May 6, 2014. Beloved husband of Ingeborg (nee Erpel), loving father of Erika Wade (David), Sonja Learn, Linda Franklin (John) and Lenny Zapf, devoted grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 1. He was a well liked musical instrument repairman at his family's music store, Zapf's Music for 62 years. Leonard was a member of the original Philadelphia Zither Club and musical director of the reborn Philadelphia Zither Ensemble and had played the zither since age 10. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 (215-354-0085), where a celebration of his life will begin at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Leonard's memory be made to Vereinigung Erzgebirge, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
