Louis William Shields Jr., 74, of Southampton PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 25, 2016. Born in Altoona, PA to Louis and Mary Shields he lived most of his life in Fairless Hills and Levittown, PA.

Louis is survived by his wife and best friend Barbara of 53 years, sons Louis (Michele) Shields III, Dean (Alyssa) Shields, daughters Amy (Jeff) Grant, Lisa Fant, Cynthia Evans, brothers John Shields, Tom Shields, Jim Shields, sister Mary Lou DiMaggio, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Louis loved sports and worked as a pipefitter for 35 years at US Steel until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed watching his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, coaching men's fast pitch softball, and playing golf with his sons and buddies. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards.

The family will receive friends on Saturday June 11, 2016 from 1:00 PM and a service of Christian Burial will be said at 3 PM at the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, 333 County Line Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Louis William Shields Jr. to the Bishop McDevitt Wrestling Program, 1 Crusader Way, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
