Marie Plunkett, age 81, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was one day shy of her 82nd birthday.

Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Marie Class. Marie graduated from Northeast High School. She raised three children and was a wonderful mother. Marie Plunkett was an avid book reader and enjoyed crocheting. She also enjoyed card games, such as frustration and double solitaire. Marie was known for cooking wonderful meals for her family during holidays and baking delicious pastries, especially her pumpkin roll and cheese pie. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.

Sister of the late Gloria Cotton and the late Edward Class; she is survived by her loving children, Patricia (Michael) Eberhardt, Edward (Sandra) Plunkett, Michael Plunkett; grandchildren, Nichole, and Lauren Eberhardt; brother, Steven Class; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel.

Friends may gather from 10 AM until service time to share fond memories.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
