Obituary of Martha Pyle

Martha ( " Tillie ") Pyle (nee Ferguson ) passed away on May 22, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved mother of Carol M. Salan, David J. Pyle (Michelle), and the late Steven J. Pyle. Martha is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean, Tammi , Michael ,Melanie ,Christopher , Matthew , Will and Joey; her great - grandchildren, Marissa , Dylan , and April and her sister, Josephine Knorr (" Sissy" ).

Martha was born in Philadelphia and grew up in the Kensington section of the city. A 58 year resident of Feasterville, Martha was devoted to her family and she was an avid gardener. She loved to laugh, to host family parties, and to tell stories about her adventures with her beloved sisters, Sissy and Stella, growing up in the city. Martha was very patriotic and always had an American flag prominently displayed in front of her home to honor our Service members, especially her sons and grandsons wo served in the military. She also crocheted and donated innumerable red, white and blue afghans to Service members and families.

Family and friends are invited to her memorial service on Friday, June 1, 2012, 2pm at the Chapel of Peace at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville,Pa 19053 . The committal service will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
