Mary R. Zinni , age 88, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Mary is survived by her daughters, Madeline (Jerry) Schenk, Angela Pannella, and Maria (William) Smith; her grandchildren, Michael Tague, Maria Andrews, Magdalena Smith and William Smith; and great-grandchildren, Già Smith and Angelo Andrews.   She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Musumeci.

Mary is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Alexander; her birth mother, Maria; her parents, Joseph and Angelina Musumeci and her brother, Alfred.

After graduating Hallahan High School, Mary went on to work at Bell Telephone until she met her husband, Alex and began raising her family.  In her later years Mary enjoyed books, music, dancing and socializing where she'd always respond to anyone who asked how she was doing with her signature response - simply marvelous! She most enjoyed being with family and friends.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Saint Cecilia's Catholic Church, 535 Rhawn St, Philadelphia, PA 19111 from 9:30 to 10:15.  Promptly at 10:30, Mass of Christian Burial will begin.  Following Mass, we will escort Mary to her final resting place at Sunset Memorial Park.
