MaryAnne (Stellmach) Turner, 85, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, surrounded by generations of the family she created, nurtured, and loved unconditionally. Born on October 12, 1940, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, she was the third of nine children and carried the value of family with her throughout her life.
That value became her legacy. She is survived by her children Gary (Gail), Rick (Sue), Linda (John), Mark (Dawn), Gail (Bill), Debbie (George), Douglas (Jennifer), David (Doneille); 25 grandchildren and their spouses; and 36 great-grandchildren—an ever-growing family rooted in her love.
She was preceded in death by her son, Earle Francis Turner Jr. (“Skippy”); her granddaughter, Samantha Turner (“Sammy”); her parents; and her siblings Tony, Martha, and Stanley. She is also survived by her sisters Bette, Anne, Irene, Florence, and Gerri.
MaryAnne was the heart of every gathering. She showed her love through home-cooked meals, laughter-filled game time, and treasured traditional visits to Seaside Heights. She had a gift for making people feel welcome —whether they were family, friends, or strangers.
That gift followed her everywhere. Known affectionately as “Gram,” she became a familiar and comforting presence to so many through her years at Wawa and earlier roles at Burger King, Boston Market, Mrs. Fields, and TCBY.
Her life was not measured in years, but in the love she gave—and the lives she touched. That love will continue through every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild who carries her spirit forward.
In lieu of flowers, donations in MaryAnne’s memory may be made to support Children's Cancer Research, honoring her enduring love for family and future generations.
Friends and family are welcome to gather at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel located at 333 W. County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 on Saturday April 11th, 2026 from 11:00am to 12:00pm to celebrate MaryAnne's life. With an opportunity to share and listen from 12:00-12:30pm.
While your love and kindness is always welcome, interment will be private.
