Obituary

Michael C. DiNoia, age 81 of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Born in Farmington, VA to the late Michael B. and Janet (Cozzi) DiNoia. He was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA, graduating from Father Judge High School in 1961. Michael got a certificate in computer programming and worked for Jefferson Hospital for many years before his retirement. He was a proud US army reservist, serving seven years.

Michael met his devoted wife of 59 years, Suzanne R. DiNoia in November 1961 at a bowling alley. They were married on November 27, 1965, and started their family.

Michael was an avid bowler and fisherman. He had an amazing sense of British humor, he loved the Three Stooges, Monty Python, and Abbott and Costello. He enjoyed the golden age of horror movies, as well as other wonderful programs, such as Downton Abbey. Above all else, Michael loved being with his family.

Son of the late Michael B. and Janet (Cozzi) DiNoia; Brother of the late Sandra Miller; Grandfather of the late Ryan Spenillo and Jennifer M. Chamberlin. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne R. DiNoia; Beloved children, Lisa and Joe Welsch, Patricia DiNoia and Christopher Chamberlin, and Suzanne and Sean Donahue; cherished grandchildren, Katrina and Robert Haskins, Joseph Welsch, Erik and Stacy Welsch, Austyn and Laurie Waters, Matthew and Lily Spenillo, Daniel Spenillo, Aidan Chamberlin, Kayla Donahue, Morgan Chamberlin; Precious great-grandchildren, Autumn Welsch, Shealyn Waters, Brandon Welsch. Michael was the loving brother-in-law of Linda and Michael Gallagher, and Uncle to Kathleen (Michael) Quinn, Curt (Danielle) Gallagher and Justin (Kelly) Gallagher, as well as numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews to share fond memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michael's funeral service at noon on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel.

Friends may call from 11 AM until service time.

Michael will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
