Obituary of Michael Stefany

Michael Stefany passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the age of 89. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Ruth (nee Faulkner) Stefany, a sister, Gisella Faulkner, two sons, Ronald M. Stefany (Francine) and Bruce R. Stefany (Betsy), four grandchildren: Laura Hettinger, Marisa Hollencamp, Elizabeth Stefany and Nicholas Stefany and one great granddaughter Hannah Hettinger.

A veteran of World War II Michael served in the U.S. Navy as a musician, lst class from 1943-1945.

He graduated from Northeast High School, Philadelphia, PA in 1938 and Pierce Business College, PA in 1940. He worked in the family restaurant business, The Vienna Restaurant, as a manager from 1946-1962. He was also employed by H.G. Kuch as an investment broker for 28 years.

He was previously a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Philadelphia, PA and Highland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA.

A professional trumpet player of over 65 years he played with numerous bands.

Friends will be received at Willow Valley North on Friday, July 24 at 10:00 AM with a memorial service following at 11:00. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
