Nilda Hernandez, 59, passed away on November 29, 2020 in Kentucky. She was born September 27, 1961 in New Jersey to Vincent and Angela (Lopez) Alicea. Nilda is predeceased in death by her parents, Vincente and Angela (Lopez) Alicea, son Carlos Santiago, and her brother David Alicea. Nilda was the type of person who would move mountains for you, was a great listener, and gave great advice. She loved teaching and helping others even when she had nothing, and would care for any child. She loved gospel music and danced an amazing battle dance. Nilda made amazing Spanish food, and enjoyed writing books, coloring, and drawing characters. She was a faithful soldier of God. Nilda is survived by her husband Benjamin Hernandez; son Benjamin Hernandez Jr.; her 3 grandchildren, Isaac B. Hernandez, Johnna Santiago, and Carlos Santiago Jr.; a great-grandson, Jeremiah Santiago; her 3 sisters, Maria Alicea, Alicia Alicea, and Miriam Alicea; 3 brothers Vince (Ann) Alicea Jr., Samuel (Peggy) Alicea, and Elvis (Becki) Alicea; and many nephews and nieces.
