IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis M.
(Hill) Kelly
July 12, 1938 – April 28, 2021
Phyllis M. Kelly, 82 of Feasterville, PA passed into heaven Wednesday April 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Phyllis was born July 12, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Edward and Martha Hill. She graduated from Saint Hubert Catholic High School in 1957. On January 3, 1959 she married James J. Kelly Jr. and they were married for 58 years. Phyllis spent her life as a wonderful full-time mother and homemaker who invested all her time raising her children and grandchildren. In her early twenties she came to understand that it was not enough to be a religious woman but it was necessary to have a relationship with the God who loved her and gave His Son (Jesus) to pay the penalty for her sins. She entered into that relationship by accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior, learned of Him and walked daily with Him, trusting Him through all of life's highs and lows. She was a teacher and an example to all who came in contact with her, of what it means to live and walk by faith. She wanted to share her love and passion for God with everyone she met. She experienced many of life's sorrows, including losing her son (Gerald Allen Kelly) at the age of 28, but through the sorrow and heartache she trusted God for the strength to keep going, knowing that she would see him again one day because he followed Jesus also.
Phyllis loved to teach children about Jesus at church Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and wherever possible. She was teaching until a month before entering her eternal home. She knew that the Bible states that only those who have accepted Jesus' free gift of eternal life will go to heaven. She did everything she could to share that hope with all those she came in contact with.
Phyllis is survived by her three daughters, Theresa M. Lederman, Kathleen M. Stoltz, Michele M. Kelly, and her son James J. Kelly III; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
