Obituary

Randy Michael Laine, age 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26th following a short, but aggressive fight against pancreatic cancer.

Randy is survived by his wife of 38 years, the love of his life, Roseann (nee. Tarsitano). In 1988, Randy and Roseann welcomed their only child, Ashley Marie, who was always Randy's little girl, his pride and joy. Randy is also survived by his wonderful son-in-law Joseph DiPipi. Although Randy had many titles, his favorite was Pop Pop to his "boys", his grandsons Joseph Jr. (JJ), Michael and Ryan. On the weekends, Randy could always be found on the sidelines of his grandsons' soccer, baseball, flag football and basketball games cheering them on sporting his "Pop Pop" T-shirts and face socks. The boys always knew they could count on Pop Pop for expensive postgame visits to the snack stand for celebratory candy and trips to Five Below.  He truly was the definition of the World's Best Pop Pop. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family making memories including family vacations to the Jersey Shore and spending wonderful holidays together.

Randy is also survived by his brothers Steven and Michael (Tracie) who were his best friends and a huge support system to him during his cancer journey. Randy will be missed by his sister-in-laws Lucy Campolongo (the late Dominic), Carmela Marafioti (John) and Vera Howe. Randy was loved by his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews with whom he shared wonderful memories.

Randy was born in Philadelphia on August 8, 1960 to the late Bud and June Laine. He was a proud graduate of Frankford High School Class of 1978, where he met his lifelong friend Steve Lare (Patty).  Randy was an avid Philly sports fan. He will always be known for his love of the band U2 and the Incredible Hulk. In 2018, Randy and Roseann moved from Philadelphia to Warminster to be closer to Ashley and her family.

Family and friends are called to celebrate Randy's life on Friday, November 1st at 10am at the Chapel of Peace at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery (333 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006).  Interment will be held immediately following the Memorial Service.  The family requests that purple be worn in remembrance of Randy's fight against pancreatic cancer.

On Randy's behalf, Roseann and Ashley would like to thank the nursing staff of 3 North, the Oncology, Palliative Care and Hospice Care Departments, and Cancer Center of Holy Redeemer Hospital for the care, love and compassion they showed Randy during his multiple hospital stays, chemotherapy treatment and hospice care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) in Randy's name.
