July 25, 1946 – September 1, 2020
Raymond J. Barnhart, 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his children Raymond Barnhart III (Christine) and Heather Barnhart; his twin sister Isabel Hyczko (Victor); his brother Robert Barnhart (Joanne); and three grandsons, Thomas, Tyler and Frederick. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong area resident. Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper rigger for the Airborne Division. Later he worked as a sheet metal worker for Union Local 19. He was very athletic, being an avid tennis player, scuba diver, and a great baseball player, he even tried out for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Raymond enjoyed dancing and he loved going to the beach. Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial gathering on September 11, 2020 from 11am-12pm at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will take place at 12pm. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.Memorial contribution in Raymond's Honor can be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
