Obituary of Raymond Obringer

Raymond E. Obringer, 79, of Langhorne, PA passed away peacefully on February 13, 2013 in Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Bethlehem, PA.

Raymond was a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, Long Island, New York. He sailed with the Merchant Marines and the US Navy. He worked for many years at Rohm & Haas, Bristol, PA and US Steel, Fairless Hills, PA where he retired as Manager of Power Plant Operations. During his retirement, he spent his time enjoying his family, reading and caring for his rescue dog, Pooh Bear.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jacqueline (Cooney) Obringer; his sister Freda Keane of Camp Hill, PA; his son Scott Obringer and his wife Lisa Boland-Obringer of Levittown, PA; his daughter Andrea Reitz and her husband David Reitz of Coopersburg, PA; and eight wonderful granchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA. Friends and family may call at the Chapel after 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
