Obituary of Reed Donnard

Reed Donnard of Huntingdon Valley, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away March 18, 2012. He was 88. Reed was a WWII Army vet, having stormed Normandy Beach on D-Day, was a graduate of Drexel University as a Chemical Engineer and worked at the Frankford Arsenal where he established several patents for small armament improvements. He was an avid musician, playing the trombone for the army, several private bands, and the Bucks County Symphony. Reed was the beloved husband of the late Mary Louise Donnard and is survived by his children; Dr. Richard Donnard (Cynthia), Glen Donnard, Janet White (Byron), Brian Donnard (Raisa) and Barbara Bastardi (Matthew). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be private.
