Obituary of Richard Pruitt

Richard A. Pruitt, Sr. passed away December 11, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 52. Richard was a member of the Bowie Gun Club, and an officer with the Young Marines. He had a variety of interests, but his major commitment and love in life was his family. Richard loved, admired and respected his sons, and adored his nieces and nephews. He found the good in every situation and could make everyone smile. He will be missed.

The beloved husband of Sharon (nee Nevitt) he is also survived by his sons Richard, Jr., Stephen and Mark, a brother Tom with wife Allison and their children; John, Emma and Sam Pruitt, a sister in law Sharon "Petie" Pruitt and her children; Christine, James, Matthew and Adam, a brother in law and his wife; David and Sherri Nevitt with niece Melissa Stokes, sister in law Dorothy A. Smith, a sister in law Linda Newberry and her husband Dennis with their daughter Jennifer, sister in law Lori Barnhart with her husband Jason, nieces Hope & Paige Paz, and a niece Maria Rosenbaugh. He was preceded in death by his son Jonathan Pruitt, his mother Claire Pruitt, brother James Pruitt and in-laws Phillip & Barbara Nevitt.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday December 16th from 10am at the Northampton Presbyterian Church 539 Buck Road, Holland, PA 18966 where funeral services will be held at 11am. Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
