Obituary of Robert Hood

Robert A. Hood, Sr., of Philadelphia, on February 23, 2014. Beloved husband of Elizabeth ( nee Hoffman), loving father of Robert A. , Jr. ( Laura ) and Michael H., Sr. ( Dianne ), devoted grandfather of Tammy(Chris ), Bobby ( Mayra ), Kristin, Michael , Jr., Jamie, Steve, Jon, and Greg and great grandfather of Christopher, Amber and Olivia. Bob was a proud United States Marine, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a Philadelphia Police officer for 20 years, and also was a State Capital Police officer for 15 years. Bob was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Marine Corps League, 1st Marine Division, The Chosin Few, and the F.O.P. Relative and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 27, 2014, from 10:30 am to 12 noon, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd. , Feasterville, Pa., 19053 ( 215 - 354 - 0085 ), where Bob's celebration of life will be at 12 noon. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Wounded Warriors Project, 7020 A C Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100, Jacksonville,Fl 32256.
